Charity Bit is a web development project to utilise Cryptocurrency mining to exchange for physical currency to donate to Australian charity organisations and possibly create a new paradigm for generating a steady stream of funding to much needed causes.

HOW CHARITY MINE WORKS
In a wealthy country such as Australia that is full of computers most of which will never achieve their full computer potential, we saw an opportunity to utilise all the computers sitting idle, or under used to help change the world. Charity Bit works by asking you guys to donate your computer power to mining the cryptocurrency Monero. Monero is like Bitcoin but with a difference. Where Bitcoin uses expensive computer and other devices to mine its currency Monero is specifically designed just for CPU's. This allows every computer in the Australia and the world to be able to mine Monero and convert it into physical currency.
